They say every cloud has a silver lining..... well most of the time its pretty hard to see it!
They say all things happen for a reason.... but the reason takes too damn long to surface, or it doesn't at all.
They say if its meant to be it will happen in time...... well the patience is at the end of a rapidly fraying rope.
They say have faith for the world and some of the answers you seek will be revealed to you in good time..... when??? The day you reach your expiry date??????
I used to believe in what 'they' say,( I think I still do) but sometimes I wonder maybe..............

Who are they anyway? They are but people who face the same as you do. The only reason they say the things you said above is that they hope, just like you, that there is a purpose or a meaning behind it all. That the world cannot be a place where there is no prospect of happiness, so they say there is such a prospect, that one day, maybe...
For no-one can continue to live questioning the very purpose or future of living. If people start giving into the possibility of there being no happy future then they'll lose the will to continue. Because what's the point? So they say what they say. What is meant to be (btw, meant by whom? Who decides that?), will be.
If you say it often enough, you'll start believing it, maybe it'll even come true. At least, they hope so...
